Hello and welcome to Other Aspects. I’m Ken Bossong. My family is originally from Brooklyn, NY, but I was raised in South Jersey where I still live with my wife. Our children – son and daughter – are no longer children. We could not be luckier than to have them and their spouses, and each other.
This blog will not address a niche, as explained in the introductory post on January 13, 2019. Too many different areas interest and aggravate me to have a narrow focus . I will designate the categories carefully, though there probably will be some overlap.
A bit more background: I’m a boomer. High school was at Bishop Eustace Prep; college at Rutgers College in New Brunswick (Physics and Philosophy); and law school at Columbus School of Law, Catholic University. I was the Jazz and Blues Department at WRSU, one of the best things I did at Rutgers. While I did engage in private practice, most of my career has been as a public servant. I am recently retired as a federal Administrative Law Judge; the bulk of my career before that was as Director and Counsel for the New Jersey Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection. I will undoubtedly write about the Fund; it’s one of those good things about which more needs to be known.
I’m a big fan of the notion of a “marketplace of ideas”. My hope is simply that my thoughts are found worth considering, and perhaps even helpful.
